ABOUT ME

I'm a New York City based drummer and percussionist. Some career highlights from the past few years include playing drums with multi-platinum selling artist Natalie Merchant on her 'Three Decades of Song' tour in 2017, and originating the drum book for the Broadway musical 'The Band's Visit' which won 10 Tony Awards including best musical, a Grammy for best cast album and an Emmy.

Aside from the drum set work, I also love playing Arabic and Turkish music, a passion which has taken me all over the world. I've performed at the Presidential Palace in the United Arab Emirates, the Al Bustan Palace in Oman and here in the states I perform regularly with some of the finest musicians in these respective traditions including Bassam Saba and the New York Arabic Orchestra (Fairuz), Michel Merhej Baklouk (Fairuz), Aslihan and Ertugrul Erkisi from Istanbul and many more.

Here's a list of some of artists I've performed, toured and/or recorded with:

Natalie Merchant, Kishi Bashi, David Wax Museum, Marianne Trudel, Coleman Barks, Lonnie Holley, Moira Smiley, Ahmed Alshaiba, Seamus Egan, Aslihan Erkisi, Ertugrul Erkisi, Hazmat Modine, Ali Dineen, Tall Tall Trees, Parijat Desai, Charlotte Kate Fox, The New York Arabic Orchestra, Addi & Jacq, Jai Jagdeesh and many more.

Over the years I've learned a lot from these great musicians. Treasured experiences...

In chronological order: Chad Eisinger, Marlon Patton, Leon Anderson Jr., John Hadfield, Pandit Sameer Chaterjee, Zohar Fresco, Yshai Afterman, Aleix Tobias, Mehmet Akatay, Michel Merhej Baklouk, and John Riley.
